    Drinking pee!?

My boys do this too. If one of them happens to pee on the carpet while they're out for playtime and I don't get to it fast enough they'll both sit there and sniff at it then lick at it. I haven't seen them do this in their cage but they definitely do it outside of the cage.

    What you get-rent wise?

Used to live in Kent, OH, $450/ month water included. 1 bedroom loft apartment, built in the 70's, nice walk-in closet, tiny 1 bath, loft bedroom, living room and kitchen. Not allowed to have washer/dryer and no pets (but almost everyone did). Being in an apartment with water paid for and...

    Toaster Ovens vs. Oven

We have a cheapo toaster oven but we still use it a lot and for just about anything that will fit and doesn't say specifically in the directions not to use it. We use it for bagels, garlic bread, chicken nuggets, fries, cookies if we're just doing a few... anything. It's also great in the...

What do your chins 'call' you?

I'm mommy/mom, husband is daddy/dad and my parents are the "grandparents that love you" or also called grandma/grandpa. Hubby's parents are "the grandparents that wish you were human babies". And when we get packages from someone we order from often I say they got a present from Autie so and...

    Chinnie myths?

I've gotten that reaction quite a few times too when I tell people I have chinchillas, someone must be going around telling some pretty bad horror stories about the big bad chinchillas.

    Chinchilla Toys (for Humans)

I just started a thread for just getting that same chin! (http://www.chins-n-hedgies.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2060) I think my mom may have gotten it from that same site you mentioned but if you look it up by the maker Aurora and the Item # 31236 you can find a couple different sites that...

    new chin

Today I got a new chin for my collection! The UPS guy just rang the doorbell and I was surprised by a package from my mom with a cute little guy inside. I don't know where she got him from but I looked up the info on his tag and found him for sale here. Here's my Charlie Chinchilla, LPS...

    Bunny Maze?

You have to take the top off to make it collapsible. If you want you can just leave the top off or only attatch it in a few main places to make it easier to take on and off. Once the top is off it will fold fairly flat for the single level. If you have a double level it would require more...

    Bunny Maze?

We have the Maze Haven and it's great. You can make it 2 stories or leave it all flat for one large maze. We've had ours both ways but right now it's one level. Our boys both love running all around their maze. They love to take all their sticks and go hide somewhere to chew. The holes are...

    Portable washing machine

We had a Haair (sp?) in our first apartment. We hooked it up to the kitchen sink and did laundry in the kitchen, then rolled it into a corner and covered it with a tapestry when not in use (we weren't allowed to have it). It could take 8lbs of laundry which was a small load but more than you'd...

    Vitamin C/Calcium for malo?

I don't have any research to back it up right now but what you've described is the same logic that I've encountered. I give rosehips (crushed) to my boys everyday for their Vitamin C because I've heard it helps with dental issues. And I have heard about the Calcium too but the negative to too...
