Adam was amazing. I love the way he completely gave "Whole Lotta Love" everything and nailed it, but that he was considerate of Allison during the duet. Adam did spectacularly this evening.

I can honestly say, I only liked Allison's performance. I didn't like Adam, Danny, or Kris. I knew as soon as Danny said what song he was going to do that it was way out of his league. I also think the pairings were poorly chosen. They took the two that they knew could sing rock and put them together and put the two that they knew wouldn't be able to handle it together. That was just stupid. Although, I don't think Danny and Kris were horrible, and I think they picked a good song for them.

I was pretty much disappointed with the entire evening.

I'm just disappointed the Idols never listen to me! Plus that wasn't rock for flip sake! But that's just me. No one even picked a song from the last decade for flip sake. So that said Danny should have sung Joe Crocker You Are So Beautiful To Me--Kris should have sung Tonic If You Could Only See Me or Refugee by Tom Petty. Allison, Allison, Allison girlfriend seriously how can you diss Melissa Etheridge--the Queen of soulful heartfelt heart attack AFTER Janis of course. And yes Adam was going to do well. What hacks me off is again everyone is french kissing Adam's butt like they did with Carrie Underwood and they have him winning the show before his time. I just don't like that one bit. Also the judges reallly should be offering more--if you don't like someone's song choice TELL them what you want them to sing early on and see if they do it the justice you want--don't sit up there on your high horse and say, bad song choice. It shouldn't get down to the final 3 before judges are picking a song for the contestants.
WOW I really ranted today.
Sad news--I'm at Lisa's tonight and she watches Lost for crying out loud. Ya'll better let me know AFTER everyone else knows who went home. So someone get on here after midnight and let me know dang it! You can PM me if you want, but I'm way busy at work tonight and can't be searching all over on People or ET for the results.

Laurie, I'm pretty sure they were supposed to pick songs from the 70s (though two of the songs were released in '69 I think). What would you have had them say to Adam this week? Last week I could see calling him on the corny entrance last week. Maybe the amount of liberty he took with the song the week before, but I really can't think of anything they could have said against his performance this week. Have the judges told them which songs to do in the past? I haven't watched since season four, but as I remember the contestants always used to be responsible for finding songs that worked for them. I'll hop online after the show airs here to shoot you a PM to tell you who gets eliminated (and also my opinions, which I'm sure I'll have). I think you are two hours ahead of me, so it should be around 11 your time.

I agree...based on last nights performances the wrong person went home tonight..but who knows its could be a blessing in disguise just like it was for Daughtry. :)

I'm extremely disappointed at these results. I wasn't a HUGE fan of who went home, but I liked them better than the two I believe should have went home.

I think Danny's flame is slowly burning out...especially after that horrid scream! I was honestly expecting him to go home tonight. Don't have a problem with Allison going home though. Her talking voice just annoyed me and she always seemed so obnoxious. I'm pretty happy with the top 3 (especially since my man Adam graces it ;) )

OH, and what did everyone think of Paula's performance tonight..and No Doubt? Gosh, that ballerina dude freaked me out and I'm surprised Gwen didn't wipe out more than once...

Paula was totally lip syncing & I thought that the performance was little.. skanky? No Doubt was just as bad as Miley. Ewww.

Actually, nope, Danny's flame is going strong. His performance last night was bad, but it hasn't been bad consistently like other people's were.

You'll all be glad to know that Danny is now VFTW's poster child and it is getting them harsh criticism from a lot of people. I'm also more than a little disgusted by people's comments about Adam. I said it before and I'll say it again. I think he sucks as a singer, but it has nothing to do with him being gay and that shouldn't be used to bash him with, any more than making comments about cutting off Danny's dead wife's hand should be a cause for amusement.

I'm not thrilled either way, probably because I was so unhappy with last night's performances.

Both Chris and Alison got lost/buried in the last few songs including the stage performance tonight. Neither have the ability to project.

I thought Paula was entertaining, sad that Ryan didn't do her 'seal' clap. Daughtry was o.k., the song must have been so-so cause the friends and I had no problem getting lost in chat during it. We FF through No Doubt. WTF was up with the pushups? In FF it looks like she's violently humping the stage....

Gwen Stefani has always been that energetic and crazy on stage. Nothing new. No Doubt has better songs. It is too bad they chose that one.

I really don't care who wins. I watch the show but I'm not obsessed with it...I think...LOL In fact, I watched Andrew Zimmerman on tuesday night instead of Idol LOL I did see a bit of Adams performance the next day. I like Led Zeppelin and screaming in that particular song was warranted.

Allison did look very pretty tonight. I'm glad she toned down her red hair.

My prediction comes true yet again. Ya'll should listen to me I said top 5 would be who it was, I said who would go first of the 5 Matt, and he did, I said who would go next and they did--I'm telling you I am the Idol Queen. Except that I wanted Bo to win and not Carrie who Simon french kisses her butt every chance he gets and I wanted Clay to win over Rueben and he should have! Other than that I'm right every year!

If that is how she acted in concert, I would be very disappointed at paying money to see her. She was running around so much, she seemed completely out of breath! You could hardly hear her singing, and when you did, it definitely wasn't great.

I thought both performances were bad and you could clearly tell that Paula was lip syncing...Im disappointed in the choice - I predicted them and Adam final two.

Danny Gokey day here in Milwaukee Woot! Woot! We're having a parade for him and he's throwing out the first pitch at the Brewer Game. Danny does Milwaukee proud. A nice man who loved his wife, loves his family, goes to church and cares about making a difference there. He's not some hyped up sports star who's on drugs--way to go Danny!

Yell some for me too Laurie, would ya? I would if I could. :)

OMG LAN! YOU ARE SOOO LUCKY! hahah i loveeeee danny!
please scream some love for me!!!!

ps; everytime I really love someone, they end up the 2nd place..

Bo, Clay, David A... hahaha its a pattern with me,
this year i hope its not, but I basicall love all three left so
its all good :)

Everyone just remember--the winner of Idol isn't always the winner! Clay has done much better than Rueben! Daughtry has kicked just about everyone's butt and he finished 4th! So I never really care about who wins, I just want everyone to get their due. I mean come on Michael Johns went home before that horrid, horrid, horrid Kristy Lee Cooke--I cringe when thinking of it!

What I hope more than anything is when the get to pick their song I hope Danny will pick a Christian song. It's how he was raised, it what he sings most. I would love to see him step up the plate and do some great justice to Mercy Me or Third Day!!!
