Really??? Some of mine are not close to 600 grams. Most of them however, are rescues, and in the 500- close to 600 range. I could never imagine making them wait that long.... That could be well over a year to reach that, if ever. Not all chins are going to hit that weight.

Dawn, I am with you on this one. I do not give any fruits to my chins. I would rather give them something that is safer and isnt known to cause bloat (even a slight possibility of bloat isnt worth it to me)

I have both a chin spin and flying saucers. I love the saucers. I feel they are safer and all but one chin figured them out. The one who didn't, got a chin spin. Both are not very loud, when secured well to a solid cage. I have Ferret Nation cages, and with the saucer we drilled holes...

I agree, he needs to be removed from the female for pregnancy reasons. I do hope you are able to take him to a vet ASAP. Not eating and drinking can cause a whole host of issues on top of what is already wrong. I hope your chin will bounce back from what ever is ailing him. Good luck to him...

I have 2 sides of my FN cages covered. I dont feel this restricts airflow. It minimizes hair in the air and prevents peed on walls. They all seem to like it too, as they were mad when I removed them to be washed.

45 days is excessive. 30 should be plenty to see any contractable illness....

I agree with Dawn. If the chin was already under for dental work, the x rays should have been done to rule out any below the gum issues. Hope she continues to do better.

How has his weight been? You should weigh him with a gram scale, this will help indicating any issues. You will have to find a vet good with chins, we have to drive well over an hour for emergency vets after hours, but I lucked out and have a fairly good vet, who listens to me, and researches...
