I brought home a 1b standard from the Ouderkirks and a beautiful TOV eb from Wendy. I also fell in LOVE with a white from Ralph that I am calling him on tomorrow. Hubby said I can get him!!!! other than that I did ok but need to gain size.

I am spoiled..gotta take advantage of it while I can LOL...I am putting him with a beige I have here...maybe a good PW for you Wendy

Is the white the one with that cute squished face? He was absolutely adorable if that's the one I'm thinking of! I love the chins that have the short faces!

As usually I had a wonderful time! Sandi and I rode up together on Friday. We met Tawana, Kristy and Carol and the 5 of us were roomies for Friday and Saturday and had a great time! I was so pleased to such a nice turnout for our Wisconsin show. Ralph Shoots himself asked Sandi if it were her first show! He knew she was "new"! Despite dumping tons of money in the raffle I came away without the chocolate or the candle basket from Brenda dang it! But Tawana broke into the basket Saturday night and gave me the chocolate covered cherries! Delish!
A group of us went to Hi Point for a nice dinner Saturday night AND Becky came and hung out with us after the show Saturday night as well! She was kind enough to share stories of her first chins and how she got into breeding.

This was my first time at a show, and it was sooooo hard to leave without buying a chin. Wow, there were some beautiful big chins there! I met quite a few people from the forum and pretty much accosted Allison as she entered the door, LOL! Yes, that was funny when Ralph Shoots asked me if it was my first time, I sort of wondered if I stuck out somehow? It was a fun getaway as I expected and there were NO GNOMES at the gnome motel, LOL!

I ended up winning 5 items from the raffle, the beautiful chinchilla fur rosette from the Bonniers, a bushel of hand-picked apples, Dust from the Walters, a chinchilla plaque and the chinchilla cookie cutter from the Shoots! I felt bad that Laurie didn't win anything so I offered her one of the apples that I won, hehe!

lol Sandi, you just had to beat out Laurie for everything that I had ;)

I know, it's hard not wanting more chins with all the nice chins there!

And are you sure there were no gnomes?? I haven't been there in 2 years, but the year I was there, they had gnomes in this mural on the wall, it was kind of creepy..

Yeah, sorry about that Allison, hehe! Tawana described it more like me body blocking EVERYONE from viewing anything you had before me, LOL! I wonder what your sister thought? Oh and the jacket and harness were a HUGE hit! I have to take pics and send them to you, thank you :D!

There were no murals in both our rooms, but they had drawings/pictures of Indians. Nothing creepy, just kind of musty smelling :(

The mural thing was by the pool I think which was also pretty creepy looking as I remember it.. But perhaps they've changed it since then? You know, it's a pretty up and coming area and all lol!

Glad the coat and harness were a hit!

The best part about Sandi grabbing up everything Allison brought to sell is after Sandi dug through the bag and bought almost everything she said to Alli, "Is that all you brought, can I see what's in your purse?" as if Alli was hiding some things. It was too funny.

It was great seeing Allison and her sister. Allison's engagement ring is beautiful and I think we may have freaked her sister out a time or two with our stories at lunch but they were great company.

Congrats to everyone that showed and a HUGE thank you to everyone who attended, showed, helped, brought food and raffle items!!
You guys all made it a great show again this year!!

lol well so long as I don't have to hear Sandi's story about the mustard again I think I'll be okay. I'm never going to look at mustard the same way again that's all I'm going to say... (it's a good thing I don't like mustard!)

Just keep your hands washed and you'll be okay. Isn't Sandi a hoot? I really enjoyed her company.

I also enjoyed her story that she thought her male chinchilla was eating a worm and she wondered how a worm got into her house and why he was eating it. Now, I'm sure you all can figure out that her male chinchilla was simply cleaning himself. I thought I would die laughing.

Congratulations to all the winners at the show.

A special thanks goes out for our show judge Jim Ritterspach.

Thank you for all the knowledgeable comments on the animals and all the questions you answered for all of us before and after the show.

Thank you for all the knowledgeable comments on the animals and all the questions you answered for all of us before and after the show.

Jim was very generous with his time, and gave so much good input after the judging was complete in addition to all his constructive comments while judging. I had to write down a bunch of stuff when I got to the car, since I didn't have time while animal handling for the show!!

I think Naturalle Male - Shoots, Shoots, should be Naturalle Male - Shoots, West from what was Grandshow and Reserve Grandshow. Good job on the show. Maybe I can make it next year.

I picked up a beautiful sweet female TOV Ebony from Wendy now named Lulla and a standard female that place 1b from the ouderkirks I named Whitsy...now they are just waiting for their boys from the Ohio show That I am picking up from Ron Hummel. I am also picking up the White color champ male from Shoots!!!! when I go to Ohio. I just called and made arrangments.

And Wendy I was thinking of putting Jade (the standard from you from this summer) with the white from Ralph.. What do you think?
