Darn it. I'm not going to be able to go. I just had a former student (and her baby) come to stay with me after being kicked out and I just can't leave. I'm so upset. I still haven't made it to a Ryerson Field Day, and I'm feeling particularly left out.

Sorry to hear you can't make it, Monika. Wendy & I won't be driving down, tho, either this year. We were hoping to but between a cash shortage and no critters to show between the two of us, makes it hard to justify the drive. Hopefully next year!!!!

Depends if you are showing or not.

You can register as early as 7, I think. If you are showing, you need to be there early enough to have animals groomed by 9:00. The show will start after grooming is done and classification is over.

The ad in the York show book says registration starts at 8... I just shot them an email asking when classification starts, and what the registration costs are for the show and for the baby derby.

OKay, got a reply from Jan:

Shooting for 10 for the start of classification.

Registration per animal is $3.50 - she didn't list a different price for either the baby derby or regular show, so I assume both is $3.50...

She also said dress warm, sounds like the weather is going to be nasty! Though it's going to be held in their new barn so hopefully it won't be as bad as it was under the tent!

It was quite a small show.
