Sounds like they finished about 10:20 pm. Hummel Chinchilla GSC with a Black.

Very LONG day sounds like! Kicked off with 91 pelts! 361 live animals, I think Josh said this am. That's A LOT for one day! Someone call Becky & ask why she hasn't posted results yet, I dare you! :neener:

DANG!!! What's wrong with you MCBA people??? Why do you have to do EVERYTHING in 1 day??? Have a 2 day show and have some time to have fun and get some rest!!! ;)

They could split pelts and live animals or split the animals into 2 days even based on colors....

It was a long but very good show with all animals and pelts getting a full break down of comments on them. The show is a one day show and will more than likely stay that way. I have gone to enough ECBC 2 day shows to know there will not be more rest, just more partying.

It's 1:41 a.m. and I am finally back at the hotel! The show was looonnnngggg but great! The animals were amazing!

The results are in the car, and I'm too tired to go get them! I showed 5 whites (and nothing else!) and had the the top male and female, and took the white breeder award.

Hummel's black was amazing and deserved to win! She has to be over 1000 grams and has perfect, super dark veiling. Jay Firebaugh had reserve grand show with a great standard. Hummel's took Master Breeder.

If anyone took a pic of grand show champ, post it!

We were walking around after grooming and saw her. Stopes dead in our tracks. Did a double take. Huge, gorgeous chin.

Lynn, Empress does a 2 day show because they won't put mutations up against standards. That's not how it works in MCBA. They want ALL animals to be compared to standards, and really, isn't that how it should be? Since the standard is the backbone of any chinchilla breeding herd?

Lynn didn't say don't put mutes against standards, she just said have a 2 day show. I'm sure if the active membership really wanted a 2 day national, MCBA could find a way to do it if they chose to. I don't think that's something that has been added to the board's agenda, however, based on Jags comments. At least everyone has all day Sunday to "recover"!

It's awesome that the show draws so many animals that it's duration is even an issue.

Good job, Cheryl! I hear you did pretty darn well for your debut! And your first show a National-awesome! You are braver than I was...I still don't have 15 to show at one time, either. You rock!!
