Maple is beautiful, she looks pleased with herself too. Baby Fat is such a fighter, you can see it in her eyes. I look forward to hearing about all her adventures.

Good gracious! I left for TWO days...TWO! I think Maple switched babies on me...I'm pretty sure you have the right idea Julie. Little baby fat Willow now weighs 56g! :hearts: She looks ridiculous...her entire body looks inflated, lol. She's bulked up a really good amount and I'm so so so glad she turned the corner and is now a normal baby!

Woo hoo! Well done baby Willow & Maple! And this is the difference between a proper breeder & an inexperienced person breeding their pet. You saved that little one's life, because you knew exactly what to look for & had more than one nursing mama to help out when it got tough. Originally we thought (rather stupidly) we might get a male & breed But having read lots of stories here there's no way I'll breed (actually I think poppy is probably poor breeding quality anyway, she's gorgeous pet quality though!)breeding?! - I'll leave that to you professionals! Well done :0)

And, yeah Sumiko...I'm so relieved. I didn't have a lot of hope for her, but I'm very glad she proved me wrong and even happier that I had Maple on hand to foster her. That chinchilla really thinks she's some kind of a cow...she doesn't know how to not produce a copious amount of milk.

Frenchie is doing just fine. I'm going to breed her one more time to see if that first litter was just a fluke. If she has difficulty with this next litter then she will be retired. I'm pretty sure she is pregnant right now...as well as most of my other girls. I will probably have a big baby boom early in the year next year.
