I don't know if you want to see a picture of Pepper, my black velvet, he is on the 3rd picture of the link, there is alot of flash on him, but he is pretty dark around his face and back.

Oh I just did him with a black back and white underside, I can do him lighter if you want me to repaint it. This is what it looks like right now. It's still drying but give me any input 3chins, I can always make changes.

New Prototype

Today I made an improved version of what I made yesterday, it's much bigger and sturdier, and cuter! It's eyes will be half sphere reflective beads, hard to explain, but they're like mirror beads. I'm going to make a black velvet (gonna redo yours 3chins I feel this one is better quality), a violet wrap, an white ebony, and a standard. When I am finished with these I'll post them and then take more requests.

Alright, so he's due for a few touch ups once he dries, and he's going to get his fluffy tail when he dries. His eyes are reflective, its like little round mirrors :] He's obviously a black velvet, and the gray is very obvious in person and very shimmery. I'll have to take a picture in the sun so you can see, but its night time :/

I has made an armyz

So I keep modifying the black velvet jar as I feel it could be better, you can see he has puffier cheeks now and he's not as shapely and I'm getting better at painting the clay. The standard is so pretty in person, he's very shimmery. The standard looks kind of sad right now but it could be because he's drying and his eyes have darker circles. I may not be able to post for a day or two just due to finals, but I have 2 weeks off after Tuesday so more time! I'm sorry for the delay on the black velvet, I'm very picky with my work and I want the best. The ones in the back are new models I made today, I'll be making two into Laura's and I have two extra.

I love their eyes, the black velvet's are like glitter on the inside and the standard's are like little mirrors!

Tell me how you guys think they're coming along. And do you think I should do some themed ones like clowns/stars/pink/etc just for people to buy? I do like the personalized idea, but I really wanted to make a chinchilla with a beach ball or something. Ramble Ramble.

I think him looking so sad makes him my favorite treat jar. After all, that IS the look they always give us when they want a treat.

Also...are you going to try your hand at a set of salt shakers? I've always wanted some chinchilla salt shakers so if you could find a way to make those...I'd buy quite a few and just switch them out all the time to confuse people so they never know which chin holds salt or pepper! HAHAHAHAHAHA! ok...I'm a little tired. I love the jars though, you are extremely talented and if you ever stop I will be very cross with you.

haha I'll try some salt shakers this week, I think they'd be an easy make, just the plug part might be hard, you want like standard and a mosaic? I'll make them then PM you with pictures so you can tell me what colors you want.
