What is a safe treat I can give my chin on a daily basis u till the bonding and taming phase is over?
I adopted her and were making good progress... but I still need a little something to give her as a reward for good behavior

What can I give. And where can I find it?

I avoid raisins because of their high sugar content (bad for chins). Some give small pieces of a raisin, in moderation, but if you are looking for an everyday treat there are much better options. They are also sticky and can stick to a chins teeth and contribute to dental problems.
Some other options are: Rosehips, crush & sifted or whole, Old Fashioned large flake oats, and apple sticks (or other safe wood sticks).

Find something your chin likes, but is healthy, and use that. I use apple sticks because my chins love them and we can easily give them several a day without worry about affecting their diet or causing them to have too much sugar in their system. :)

I find old fashioned oats are small enough to work well for training your chin to feel comfortable with you, and they're healthy too.

Pass on the raisins! Not good for your chins. I understand the desire to give a treat. I give Idgie rolled oats or oat groats (oats before they are rolled to look like oatmeal) and crushed rose hips. That's about it. She's happy for me to give her a few a day.

The oatmeal and rose hip are big hits with my little one. She also loves herbs I have gotten herb from Fuzzies Kingdom. They have a flower assortment and quite a few different hrerb packets to choose from. The oat tops are another favorite. They're a healthy option that is actually good for them.

Plain bite size organic shredded wheat are another great treat. You could break it into smaller pieces and feed them by hand.

Oats, crushed rosehips, pieces of plain shredded wheat, and fruit wood sticks are what I stick to for treats. Also, you can just give half a stick if you're worried about running out. I wouldn't give raisins or other dried fruit, too much sugar as everyone has said.

Un-Frosted bite sized shredded wheat is a huge hit at my house. when i shake the box al of my chins get super excited. i also like to use old fashioned oats especially when trying to bond with a chin because you can give them 4 or 5 pieces at a time. any kind of wood is also a huge hit with my chins, they just love trying new kinds.

Thanks for the input! I have just purchased some fresh rolled oats at shady maple yesterday I gave her less than 1/2 a tsp of oats and she loved them. Plus I have been relying on the applewood sticks my local walmart actually has then for a few bucks. Im glad to spend it though. It makes her so happy :) she seems like a totally different chin from when I first brought her home after adopting her. I love her to pieces

unfrosted shredded wheat is THE favorite treat in this house. Sometimes plain cheerios are popular but only for a couple days and then they snuff them. I only give dried fruit occasionally for a special treat.

Sovay- dried fruit is generally frowned upon as a treat for chinchillas as the fruit has far too much sugar and can lead to serious health issues. You can check around this site for supporting evidence :)

I have been giving my chin oxbow barley biscuits they are heart shaped organic treats that I break into halves for him and give him one or two a day but I would love to try apple sticks does anyone know a good place to get them??

Got it. Yeah, when I received them and looked at the ingredients, I was not happy to see the first ingredient is sugar.

I see that the timothy hay cubes also have some alfalfa in them. How much (if any) should I be giving my little guy? I have chipped one cube and give him small slivers of it (haven't even gone through a whole cube yet) once a day after play time.
