Thinking about a larger cage for when I get my new boy.

So, I am getting another chinchilla soon, he isn't able to go home until the 4th of July. I've had my chinchilla for a year now, and he is so lonely so I decided to get him a friend. I have a temporary cage to put him in until I can introduce both of them to each other but when I put them together, I need to get a larger cage. I was thinking of this one:

but without the stand it is only 55 inches in height and I'm not quite fond of the ladders. Does anyone have a better cage that they know of? (I prefer wrought iron). I wish I could build a cage but I don't have a welder or any proper tools for that. Thanks for your help!

Ferret nation cages are the best and please don't use ladders because chins can break their legs on them. Use wood shelves in the cage.

The ferret nation cage is a great option. Especially for having 2 chins. It can be split into two separate halves if your boys decide to not get along. There is a Ferret nation fan club thread that has tons of great pictures of the ways that people have decorated them.

Yes you can have three levels with the ferret nations. I've got a double and couldn't imagine a triple. It would be huge!

You can go triple high and you can also go double wide. A nice thing about the FN cages is how strong the bars are. They easily support a variety of chin safe wheels and ledges, plus they are relatively easily to take apart, store, and transport.

Wow those look amazing. I have my rats in a petco manor, nearly makes me want to get a ferret nation for my chin and rats haha. What kind of bedding did you use? Was it aspen?

Wow those are awesome! Can I ask why you don't have ferrets any longer? You can PM me. I've researched them for years and really would love to have some one day.

To the OP you can't a FN in my opinion.
