Here ya go, my legs are very dry....but like I said, I still LOVE it. Just want to see about getting something done with the nose. I liked it when it was first done--so i'm wondering if maybe I lost some color when it healed, as it was very scabby.

Dunno why it came out very grainy, but you get the idea.. I'll lotion up some and grab a better one eventually :p

Might as well share the design I'm going to add to it:

I'm going to extend the vine around my leg, with buds on it into an open flower on the top of my foot. I cannot decide if I want to do a purple flower/green vines, or stick to just the black and grey scales....

allentown in only 1 1/2 hours away, i will keep it in mind.
while i LOVE the black & grey, i think a little just hint of color would be nice. definitely outlined in the black but maybe just a shading of color.
btw..........i have a tattoo on the top of my foot and that has by far been the most painful location on my body! bring lots of chewing gum........

I'll keep that in mind... I really LOVE the black/grey scales...and thats what both of my tattoos are, but I'm thinking some color would not hurt, and would only make it look better...but i'm also affraid if I add anything else to it, especially color it will draw away from the chinchilla?

Nice ink!

Just my opinion, but if you add much more of anything to it ..you will be taking away from the nice work the artist did with the Chinchilla's details.

My experience with ink that is more concentrated to one area ..or "fill in" ..like the nose area ............needs to be kept especially moist throughout the healing process. It avoids the increased scabbing ..leaching the ink out. And don't be surprised if you need a little 'touch up' on pieces like this.

Thank you for the input..that is what i'm affraid of-that we may take away from the chinchilla itself, and he did such a great job.

I scabbing was partly my fault, as well. I had to work the morning after getting it done, it was mid winter so I had to wear pants, and it irrated it somewhat. Either way, I'm sure it can be easily touched up.

I may just stick to having him add onto my other tattoo, and let this one go for now :)

hey megan, you could always have him do a sample sketch of what it would look like with color or not, or any additions. if you dont like it, you dont have to ink it. he could even put it on your body as a sample (like they do before they do the actual ink).
just a thought. i am sure you spent a lot of money and as a good customer and since he knows he will be doing "something" on you in the future, I am sure he would do the sample for you. whatever you decide you MUST share the pix!
