many members on here make the cuddle buddies, in different shapes and colours. just post a wanted ad in the classifieds for a specific shape/type and i'm sure somebody will be able to do it for ya.

I'm officially a member of the Ferret Nation Club! :dance3:

I'm still waiting for the Bass Pan to arrive for the bottom, but anything else I get after this would be optional (still planning to get a fleece tube). We will rearrange the shelves/ledges as we see need to, depending on how the girls take to it. They already LOVE their Chin Spin, which also arrived today.

I had the hammock in their old cage, but they never touched it. Pearl has already been in it 2 or 3 times now, she must just like this setup better.

Thanks all! I'm really happy with that decision as well. I feel like the middle divider takes away from vertical space, this way it feels more open, and I still have "floor" space with the original shelves. The covers I made for the shelves were super simple, too, and worked out better than I had hoped.

Plus, with the original shelves in, I no longer had to worry about putting a bridge or hammock across the middle, since they can't fall straight down from the top now.

I stayed up about 2 hours after going to bed last night, I just couldn't stop watching the girls enjoying it. They are SO happy. Diamond, our chicken little mosaic, is usually a little shy about jumping, and she was all over the cage. I found her on the very top shelf this morning, and she was even in the hammock last night, too. That silly thing was just a test I made out of scraps, now that I know they'll use it, I might make another, better one.

I was starting to have a little buyer's remorse when we were putting the cage together since it's just so big, but now I feel like it was totally worth the money, time, and space.

I'm in the process of building some big shelves for either side and a bridge across the middle so I can take out the middle shelve, but until then...this is Meeka's home! Recent vet trip dipped into the chinchilla fund but I plan on purchasing either a silver surfer or a chin spin very soon.

Very nice! That is one spoiled little Meeka. :D

Yeah but if you look here, it is the new add on for the CN that I just found.

http://www.animalcages.com/163.html

Under compatibility it say:

Compatible with models 161, 162, 181, 182. Not compatible with models 141, 142, 143.

I also read this about the FN 183: Additional space for your ferret to live and play. Add-on to Midwest Ferret Nation Models 181 or 182. Also fits Critter Nation Models 161, 162, 163.

So does the new FN have the same smaller spacing as the CN?

No. The new FN 182 has the same spacing as the FN142, it's just put together without screws, like the CN. It also has a slightly different pans and comes with ladder covers.

Hmm the FN I bought from Petsmart back in January came with fleece ramp covers and has the shallow trays..does this mean it's a 182??
