Quality cage?

So who here has experience with the quality cage company? What cage do you think would be the best/ easiest on the wallet for one female chinchilla? I was thinking about either the chinchilla mansion or town home.

I have several QC's and I like them. I personally actually like the townhome, we have two townhomes and one mansion... while the mansion's huge... I actually think it's a bit too big. I have a heck of a time getting chins down from the top shelf, but the townhome is like a perfect size in my mind (for multiple chins even). I would say go with the townhome, just my 2 cents.

I have four chinchilla mansions and one town home. I prefer the town home as well. It's the perfect size.

I have a mansion and 6 condos. I use the condos for pairs and trios, pregnant chins and nursing mothers. I just love them. The town homes are larger than the condos and would be great for a single chin , but you could also go with the smaller condo. The nice thing about their cages is that they are stackable, if you ever decide you need more than one chinchilla. I have two towers of three condos.

I have a QC town home for my chin and I love it so far. As the others have said, it's the perfect size and has plenty of room for your chin to jump around and play. I was originally going to buy the mansion, but I'm glad I didn't.

I paid the extra money to get the 2 door version and I also got the metal door guards instead of plastic. I think it's totally worth it. Also, I really like the way the doors lock shut and I love the pull-out tray on the bottom.

Thanks everyone. Town-home it is. I was definitely planning on the metal door guards over the plastic. This probably wont happen till around Christmas but I can't wait to get it. Does anybody have any pictures they'd like to post?

Be aware when you buy that cage (I have a Condo I used for singletons) that they've been having some trouble with the powder coating on their wheels and pans flaking off. Last I'd heard, they were looking into it with their powder coating company, but once that enamel is off, the pan could well start to rust. (Mine did.) Their cage stands are wonderful, though, and if you order a stand and a wheel, they'll pack them together to save you on shipping. You might also want to get a couple of extra shelves when you order; 4 seemed like too few when I had a baby chin.

Yeah, the metal guard is worth getting. I ordered extra ledges too. It came with three, but I bought three more.

we have the mansions from qc, for our one chinchilla mitsi. She seems to love all the space she gets to explore. It was an easy setup but one thing im noticing its hard to lay your hand on the bottom of the cage. I couldn't imagine trying to get her out yet with her being quite skidish. With only the one cage door it makes it hard to reach in certain places.

I was worrying about this too. Luckily my chinchillas run right out to me when I open the door :thumbsup:
