I am glad Baby is doing well. Sending you thoughts and prayers for little TS. I am so sorry about the loss of your other two.

I'm so glad that things are turning out so well, YAY little Tough, uh, ... Stuff!!;) Hope the good news keeps rollin'!!:dance3:

Well TS has been kickin it for over 24 hours now, mom says he's really trying to move around. Supposedly he has a really big head (bigger than normal) and is having a little trouble balancing himself. Baby is still taking very good care of him. No sign of her getting milk in (which we were expecting) so it looks like mom will continue handfeeding him every two hours - needless to say I owe her majorly when i get back home!!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes - hopefully he will continue to improve and Baby will have no negative effects from the surgery. I'd love to have a happy ending from all this.

Thursday was pretty rough and mom thought both wouldn't make it through the night again, but they were doing a little better yesterday and today. Baby is still being force fed a little, but has consistent poos and TS had dropped down to 46 grams but is up to 48 this morning. He is VERY picky about the temp of his food so mom has been battling him quite a bit. We think he has some neurological damage, as he doesn't sit with his back legs under him - they're splayed to the sides. He can bring them underneath him to move around so hopefully he'll work it out. He may also have a general problem with his left side - only time will tell how he copes with it.

I used a very large syringe, I don't remember what size but it was like about 1 inch dia. I nuked a large coffee cup of water about 2 minutes and put the capped syringe in the hot water about 5 minutes (don't nuke the syringe) Then test the temp. The tip and very bottom will always be hotter, (too hot)
Good luck, I'm sorry to hear about their problems

Oh, we have an excellent method to heat the formula up - it's just it feels like a good temp with the wrist test and he still doesn't take it. Most babies will take it when it's warm and then stop when it's cold - he'll stop when it's still warm!

I hope his neurological symptoms clear up like Ivan's did. IDK if you read my post, but Ivan was born healthy, then lost ability to move everything from the neck down...then slowly regained everything starting w the tail, up. I had to hand feed him for 2 weeks bc he couldn't hold pellets in his paws. Sonya was good about nursing him at night, he got formula that way, but he got solid food and water from me daily. He was my miracle baby. :cry3:
Anyway, I really really hope TS and Baby pull through

They are both still hangin in there. I don't think we really have any concerns about Baby at all, she's doing great and not being force fed anymore. She gets her staples out in about a week.
TS is eating more and eating like a normal kit. He seems to have some problems with his inner ears? Mom found a few drops of blood IN his ear - doesn't appear to have been bitten or anything. It's the strangest thing - so we're still guarded on how he will do.

Scratch that - got the morning call from mom - TS is on his way to my boss to be put down. He's spinning around on his head and can't lift it up. Very unfortunate but Baby is doing well and ultimately that is the most important thing to us. He will be missed...

I'm so sorry to hear Little TS didn't pull through. I had such high hopes for him. You guys have been amazing with TS and Baby. Give her a scritch for me.

That's a shame about TS, but you can't say it was from lack of awesome care. :) I'm really glad you didn't lose Baby, because that would have been really heartbreaking... give Baby something yummy for me.
