So i am going to be picking up my new chin in a few weeks... What kind of carrying cage should i get to pick the chin up with? She is going to be a baby so i dont want to get the wrong thing and she slips out.

The smaller the cage the better. that way the chinchilla does not slide around the cage when you turn or hit the breaks. Make sure that the wire spacing on the cage is no bigger than 1 inch by 1/2 inch. That will keep the little one from getting out. You do not need to hang a water bottle, it will just leak every time you hit a bump and get the cage and the chinchilla wet.

You can you just gotta watch that it doesn't chew...you can transport in a small box with a little kd pine in the bottom...

I'd say as long as she isn't in it for too horribly long, she's be fine. But that's just my opinion.

Since this carrier will most likely be used in the future and to be better safe than sorry get a solid carrier rather than cloth-I had a pair that got out of that type of carrier in 20 min in a car ride, they tore off the mesh and got free in the car while driving.

Buy a cat carrier and make or buy a fleece liner for the bottom. It'll be handy to bring her home in, and you'll have it later for travel, vet trips or emergencies.
