Parrot toys for chins?

I was just wondering, If it's safe to use parrot toys for chins? They're brightly colored woods on ropes and they look really nice

You can't use any toys with cotton rope, which is what the white rope most likely is. The only ropes that are okay with chins are seagrass and sisal.

You also can't use any toys that have plastic on them.

I love that one its just mainly chains and i would replace the rope with something safe, i think if i gave my chinnies that one they would be in chinnie delight

I have one that is similar. It strings them all together with a chain and has a bell at the bottom. Gary loves his.

I think as long as the type of wood used is appropriate and safe, as well as the rope/non plastic adhering it all together is safe, the toy should be good for your chin =)!

I saw something similar to this being sold in my local petstore, it was marketed for chins...hmmm

That one's okay assuming the wood is pine/poplar, but I can't say I'd pay $30 for it (the link says 22 pounds, but my converter only goes from Euro :wacko. Depending on the price of lumber where you live, it's probably less than half of that to make.
