I am sorry about Chilly....so many sad endings around here.....make me worried about my chins so much. It seems that they are fine until they are not and then it is too late. I hope your children come to understand but are not too hurt, also. Hang around and chat as long as you need.

Thank you so much, I'm not sure how to get the day going.

A few months ago I was given the chance to give Chilly a home with a young girl who wanted him very much, but I could not part with him. We were having finacial trouble at the time and we could not pay our mortgage. We figured Chilly would get lots of attention and good care if we could find the right person, so I posted him on an adoption forum. We got the calls and were pretty sure we could adopt him out, but I was wrong. I could not let him go, I loved him too much. Im glad Chilly was with us when he became ill, I could not imagine him going without knowing we did all we could.

If you have things you have to do (like work or school)....do them with the thought of setting aside time to grieve when those menial things are done. It may help to do some grieving without your kids too close so that you can be as upset as you want without it being hard on them.. Then you can help them later. If you don't have to do much today, then take your time. I take these things very very hard, too. I try put my pet with a favorite toy/blanket of theirs....it is merely symbolic, but nice anyway. Lots of love,

Andrea, Brendan, Bunny, Pepper, and Beijing (the Pekingese)

I'm so sorry for your loss :(

If you ever decide to take a new chin hold this in the back of your head.
Don't let his "sacrifice" be in vain.

Though it's better for him to die at home than at the vet's office.

Hou de moed erin!! (Do not cry too much!)

I've always wanted more Chinny's I just never had a chance to get more. I was afraid to introduce a new chin to Chilly, he was a bit tempermental to my other pets. Now though Im not sure if I can afford another pet, that is if illness or accident were to happen. Love you Chilly
:prayer:

Christine the Vet

I did not tell her I was going to praise her on here but I was so happy with her care I wanted to tell you about her. I did tell her about the site today when I went in to drop off some things she let me take Chilly home with. Here is the bill for her care. And I must admit she is the sweetest person ever, I just had to  her.

Wow...I spent more than that to take mine in last week for absolutley nothing....he didn't even look at one of them and it turned out she had something wrong! Nice to see that someone not ripping off everybody. I am glad for you, as you didn't need anything big bill over your head. I have paid for expensive medical care that an animal didn't survive....it is disheartening.

I know I think she is super, exactly what I needed at the time. Especially after being totally ripped off by the emergency vet clinic. They claimed to have a chin vet on staff, um I could not even understand the man. He was asian with a very very thick accent in a room that eckoed worse than you could imagine, and just about everyone on this site knew more about his syptoms that he did. But they have the drugs and equipment to "diagnose and treat" sometimes life makes no sense.
