Well, I only had two big fleece liners when I got Tia because I planned on changing it twice a week (or perhaps more). Now that she's in the carrier, I change it daily so it doesn't get grody.

Doing laundry every two days is not fun, so today I got some more fleece!

Here's her original pattern... this is when I wasn't sure if she was a boy or a girl, so I got something gender neutral. She could have been a chinastronaut!

BUT she was a girl. And not just a girl - a princess. A grouchy, broken princess. ;) So here are her two new patterns!

I absolutely love this pattern, I think it's adorable.

"Where's my fleece liner at, Dad?!?!"

Hehehe. Got all the fleece at JoAnn Fabrics - they've had a sale going on for FIFTY PERCENT off antipill/Blizzard brand fleece! I got 5 yards for 25$ instead of 50$! Such a steal. ^^

Very cute!! You take such good care of your little Princess :)).

Welcome to the world of princesses...I have two royally cute chinnies who must be catered to accordingly. :)

You make me laugh when you post Ash. "A grouchy, broken princess." :)

I'm sure those particular fleece liners will look lovely in her carrier. Be sure to tell Tia that they slim her down wonderfully. A little complimenting with princesses goes a long way.

I love the patterns. :) I'm glad you were able to find some good stuff at your Joanne's. Mine was down the bare minimum. I did get a bunch of pretty solids though. :D

I love how everyone here understands my excitement over new fleece... My parents certainly do not. Or really anyone.

I wonder what makes chins so addictive...

Hi my name is Meanie and I'm a fleecaholic. Since I'm involved in rescue I go through a lot of fleece. Most people buy it by the yard, I buy it by the bolt when Joann's is having the 50% off Red Tag sale. It's surprising some of the really nice patterns I've bought for $3.50 a yard.

Is it cheaper by the bolt? Even at 50% off the cost is usually around $5-$7 a yard for patterns. Or did you have a coupon on top of it?

I would LOVE to find really cool patterns for crazy cheap.

Not cheaper by the bolt. But Joann's has a Red Tag (clearance) section where fabric is all marked down, fleece is usually marked between $6 and $7 currently. It used to be more in the $4 - $5 range. Several times a year they have 50% off Red Tag during their sales, that's when I stock up on fleece. Last time I got Looney Toons, Mickey Mouse, ducks and balloons, Kermit, Miss Piggy, some lovely color patterns on black backgrounds. I usually buy a cart load during the sales.

In the past I've bought fleece in the following patterns: solids, floral, paisley, pirates, light houses, cars, motorcycles, Pirates of the Caribbean, animal foot prints, stripes, hockey, football, baseball, soccer. Some of the stuff I get is not the prettiest, but I'm using it in rat cages and it gets chewed up pretty quickly so I'm not worried about patterns and everything matching. Heck, I don't even sew hammocks for the rats anymore, I just take 2 rectangles of fleece, put safety pins in the corners and hang them up. The two layers gives them the opportunity to go between and snuggle up. If they chew one layer beyond redemption it goes in the trash and I pair the left over piece with another piece of fleece. Sometimes the 2 layers don't even match.

I've had to force myself to stay away from the last few 50% off days as I have a huge stack and need to work my way through that before I get more.

I thought the same thing!!!!

I go thru a TON of fleece too! Joann.com has solid colors for $4.00 a yard, i just got 3 yards of that to go with the 3 yards of $15.00 a yard fleece I bought at 50% off. (so $7)

Sometimes in the back of the store they do have super clearance fleece but the patterns are kinda strange. But if you have that extra coupon it is worth it.

Ash--You are going to make a wonderful father one day! I am super impressed with your ability to handle what is going on and your compassion.

I always say.............Chins are like chips, you just can't have ONE!! ;)

hey meanie can you post next time they are having this sale! maybe it is chain wide. i have never seen the 50% off red tag! i agree that the red tag stuff is like i said kinda strange, but since i cant sew i usually just fold it in half or thirds so i do go thru a lot.

THATS a fabulous idea for the rats, i have a few and man can they chew. Well so can my Chinnys but I think Snow would object to the pins they wouldnt go with her decor. LOl
Nice patterns btw Ash I love the last one. Your Princess sounds like my Snow Grouchy a bit broken but good .
