New Chin parent!

Just stopping in to introduce myself. My name is Shannon Jackson and my family and I live in Alabama. We are in the process of getting things ready for our new Chinchilla baby. She should be coming home next weekend. We are very excited! Especially my daughter.
She's already been given a name, Cleo. She's a white mosaic. We can't wait to bring her home. Next week we will be working on chin proofing the room.
I will definitely post some pictures when we get her home!
The forum has been great to research information. My daughter and I have learned a lot already.

Thank you everyone for the welcome!
I think we've finished all the shopping and should be getting all our new stuff this week. We are really excited. I'm excited for my daughter too. She is such an awesome kid when it comes to pets and she waited a long time for this baby. She's been so active in research and selection of equipment. And went against her favorite color (blue) in order to outfit her little girl's new digs in all pink!
She and her dad will most likely go this weekend and pick the baby up and get a hands on lesson on proper holding, grooming, ect. We should have pics by the weekend I hope!!
