I just purchased a Flying Saucer for Bostin, and this will be my first as I have all Chin Spins. I seem to remember reading something about using a wood block or something with the flying saucer to make it sturdier? I did a search but either I'm search challenged tonight or it was on the other forum. Can anyone link me to something discussing this or inform me on how to do it/what to do?

I hope I made sense :D Thanks in advance!

Towards the bottom of the page they show the large saucer with the wood support

Really all it looks like to me is a block of wood with a notch cut into it for the bottom support bar. If you had access to some woodworking tools you could easily make one.

Then I think you would just make sure that the saucer is low enough in the cage so that it fits snuggly into the notch.

Hope that helps! I don't have the boards in my cages and I have 3 saucers, so I don't have experience making them..

I didn't even bother to notch mine. I just made sure that I had to stuff the wood in there so that it was tight and it worked great.

What was fun was attaching this in a FN cage. Had to use big washers in the back since there's not many horizontal bars. But it seems sturdy!
