LifeLine causing diarrhea??

I started giving my chinchilla LifeLine to see if that would help her issues, but it seemed to give her diarrhea, and the more I gave it to her the less she ate. I didn't expect this to happen, and was wondering if anyone else has experience issues with LifeLine?

I've never tried Lifeline, so I can't comment on that, sorry. But how about Critical Care as a support food? That has always worked well for my chins and guinea pigs...

I have been using it for years with all my chinchillas. I have never had issues, on the contrary, it helps their GI Tract System. All my chins crave it.

I would look into it and take her to the vet.

Lifeline alone does not work well as a food replacement, it is a food supplement, it can cause funky poo used as a stand alone food, mix it with critical care to take care of the issue.

I did feed it to her mixed with critical care. Someone else I spoke to mentioned that it may have been a shock to her system to give her the full dosage right away and it might not give her diarrhea if I give it to her in smaller doses more slowly. I thought it was also weird that she turns her nose up at it and doesn't get excited to eat it like a lot of other people have said.

I never had issues with the 1000s of handfeedings I have done using LL and CC together on ALOT of chins, the issue IMO is not the LL but medical or psychological.
