Need Help: My Chinchilla’s Ongoing Health Issues
I’m reaching out for advice regarding my chinchilla, who has had three unsuccessful surgeries. He was first treated at the Exotic Animal Veterinary Center in Pasadena, where the vet did not take X-rays as promised and missed an infection and teeth my chin got worse after i thought he was gonna die They charged me $1,200, but the care was disappointing, and my chinchilla suffered even more
I then took him to a vet in Yorba Linda who did take X-rays and performed surgery, but unfortunately, it was also unsuccessful he couldnt file the back teeth so He referred me to a specialist to go through the xrays again and these are the results
I wanna take care of this asap but vets dont take it as an emergency and they have me waiting again tuesday i have the appointment for 4th surgery My chinchilla has been in pain since August 13, and I’m desperate for help.
If anyone has recommendations for a good vet or specialist for chinchillas, or advice on how to navigate this situation, I would really appreciate it. Thank you
