Yup all seem to be chin friendly. Coconut shells are also safe.

Should I take the bells off? Is there any safety issue with them?

They are zinc free, but of course with any toy supervisions is key. I have heard that some chinchillas like their bells. I make my own toys so personally don't use bells, but that's me.

If I lived closer... I have about 80 bells left over from my wedding uhm... 5 yrs ago, lol. And yea, I'd slip them into the chins so they could just go wild at Dawn's house...

BAHHHHH, I thought the stupid bells were cute at first, AWWW little chins ringing the bells but then it got to the point where I was trying to figure out how to hog tie a chin at 3 freakin AM after 4 hours of ringing....

There are no bells allowed at my house either. The wheel going from 2 - 4 am is enough.

First thing I do with a hanging toy with bells is.....take off the bell. I already have to sleep with ear plugs on, if I kept the bell on I'd have to completely give up my room!

Aw! im lucky enough to have my chins in another room so I do not here bells or wheels! Yippeeee bellls for allllllll
