It's a tongue-in-cheek joke - posted on another (cat) forum to bring a bit of light relief to rescues when they get fed up of the crappy "I have a child so I need to dump my cat/dog/rabbit/GPig/chin".

Out of the last 20 or so rescues maybe 7 or 8 of those were from people giving up chins because they were "having their first child." The excuses range from they don't have enough room to they don't feel it is fair for the chin to be ignored.
I don't get it, either. If I ever have a kid, I most certainly won't ever get rid of the chinchillas. The chinchillas were here first!

on the subject of babies eating chin poop. I am pretty sure that my son has eaten his fair share of chin poo. and not once did he get sick, but i wasnt sure why until now.
