The stand pulls out (I just threw mine away) then unscrew the yellow knob in the back. Inside that there will be a black screw with cross shaped indents. Put these indents through the cage bar. Then re-screw the yellow knob. Make sure it's tight, this is the only thing attaching it to the cage.

If you can't figure it out let me know and I can take pictures of mine to show you.

i tried turning the knob but it won't budge. maybe we have different wheels, or I hope nothing is missing. :(

okay, i got the white piece off but now i can't figure out which piece detaches from which piece

WHOA!!!!!!! STOP! This wheel does not have a screw, and it needs the white base to be used. I have one it is for the playpen only. If you want to mount it in a cage it will need modifying... See the picture below.

haha thank you. i guess i won't be attaching it to her cage. that's okay though.

my apologies. They must have changed the design since I bought mine last year, that's definitely different then mine

oh its really no problem at all - i just got done taking her for a ride around the house on my shoulder haha. i realized that they will always try to get to a level higher than what they currently are at - and will take WHATEVER measure to do so

Are you still trying to attach that wheel? I USED to have to same wheel as you, but I got a new one. First of all, detach the white stand, it makes too much noise. Then, you need a wrench to actally cut one of the bars on the cage, then slide it in, and turn the pink plastic knob. Then you must twist the knob until the wheel can't fall. This whole process takes forever, and requires lots of patience though.

i also have another question - is it okay to have a wire floor in the cage?

Wire floor is okay as long as it is no more than 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch (thats the maximum i think, correct me if I am wrong) Any larger than that is a major risk for broken legs

i was just skimming through most of the post but i see you have the exact same cage i have and you bought the same wheel i bought.

i no longer use that wheel. first off, its plastic. secondly, it wont stay on the cage (the cage's wires are alright but you'll notice theyre east to bend, attaching a wheel-or anything that can move- may make the bars snap). and thirdly, the spoke in the middle of the wheel will eventually get close to or hit the chins back while running. wheels with no middle spoke are the best, and theyre more sturdy and are chew proof.

in regards to the wire floor, ive had my cage for about 7 months and havent had any trouble with it but i do plan on ordering fleece to cover it. you should look into buying something to put down on the spots where your chin doesnt pee so that she can have a place to rest her feetsies.

just curious, where did you buy her?

oh! and i bought that hidey house log that you have. its...not that good of an idea. gizmo didnt really chew on it but after a few months, he peed on it one day and it was disgusting.

others on the forum will say that those logs are a bad idea cuz theyre made of honey. and considering that it wont last long if it gets peed on, you chould look into other hidey houses that are safer and easier to clean.
