Proudmom, let me call my vet tomorrow morning, in the hopes that she is available and find out how much it would cost.

If things work out, you and I can talk into getting things done as simply and as inexpesive as possible for you since you are basically on your own.

Somehow I am fortunate to be unemployed at this time, this will allow me to help out in more ways than one. Including driving 16 hours to you.

Also if you have paypal, I would be willing to send funds thru that, I don't care for a third party in a situation like this. (nothing intended towards you KiKi)

Sorry but I have to say, I am seriously and royally pissed off, even if this does not belong to me. But that's a whole another chapter.

Proudmom I too would be willing to send a small amount to you to help if you have a paypal account. All small amounts add up. I too am unemployed but I can send, as I said, a small amount to help

You are amazing! Thanks so much. Hopefully we can get this all worked out. I look forward to hearing back from you. :)

I really really want to thank all of you. You have all showed so much love and care in this situation and it means more than I can truly express.

I didn't want to post a "plea" for funds as I didn't think it would be appropriate. But some of you have expressed a willingness to help out. Thank you so much. If you feel like you would like to help, I do have a paypal account. You can PM me and I will send you the details.

Thanks again so much everyone.

Well good and bad news. The good, Max 500$ tax included, bad news + 55$ for the visite, she said she will not amputate without examining the animal. LOL
that is the option right now.
Maybe you can put your paypal on this post, no?

Well that is definitely more doable...and no worries about cross border travel. But...the next hurdle would be getting there. LOL!

Maybe I will start a new thread...as some may not venture here. I will ask one of the mods first...to make sure it is okay.

Although this thread has kind of gotten off track (no purchases of raffle tickets yet) I am so thrilled that it accomplished what it was intended to do!!!
(to get proudmom help)
I too, am here for you if you need me proudmom!

Where is the $325 proudmom paid for this chinchilla? Perhaps that should be given back to her?

IF this was my animal, all money would be refunded, and I would take care of the vet bills. Granted, I wouldn't sell an animal in that condition anyway.

Other people shouldn't be paying for a mess you(the breeder, and the seller of Jade) created. Why should the users of this forum, and proud mom suffer?

If your gonna breed....and sell...take responsibility.

Where do you live at in Ontario? You said 8 hrs from Detroit, would Sault ON be any closer than detroit? There is a great vet clinic 1.5 hours south of Sault ON in MI if that is closer.

I know I'm late to this but this is 'the' busy season at work for me, but did you ever get Jade an ex-ray to determine what exactly is wrong with her foot/leg? I'm wondering if she actually needs an amputation in the first place.

I just got permission from Peggy to go ahead and add my paypal info for those of you that would be interested in helping out with Jade's vet bills directly. I will keep everyone up-to-date on the progress and vet costs.

My paypal addy is [email protected]

If you could add your username so I know who to thank...that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much! Any little bit will help. :)

Once you figure out where you are going, and if you need a hotel room I may still be able to help. Just let me know once you make your decision. The more Marriotts in the area, the easier it is to get the friends and family rate, so cities always work better in that aspect.

I had forgotten to mention, that my vet will do an x-ray before thinking of amputating. If I recall that was approx. 70$ plus tax.

If you choose to come or go to the Sault ON. (I'm a little confused as to where this is) you might want to bring the xray if you have one.

If you choose to come here in Québec, it will need to be done fairly soon for it seems that the company will be starting to call their people back full time. I personally have been layed off since end of January, so I definitely will go in the moment they want me back full time (on call right now.).

On a side note, I am not amazing, I am just sick and tired of seeing this little fur ball hurting for so long because of an injury that was neglected by the original owner. I just don't think it is fair to her. She did not ask for this.
