My neighbor just brought me a BAG of fresh rose hips.

They are not dried and I don't know what to do with them, can my chins eat them like that?

What about fresh undried rose petals? I gave them a quick tiny nibble of one and they went NUTZO! :hmm:

Our flowers are untreated and we live in the boonies with no chance or spray from anywhere! (and my "neighbor" is 1/4 mile away!)

Thanks,
Chris

Do have a dehydrator? If so rosehips are easy to dry out.

The rosebuds are ok to give the way they are. As long as they are organic and not sprayed they are fine to give.

Thanks so much!

They seem to just adore the raw rose petals!
They are on the side of my house and have never been sprayed with anything, so I guess as soon as they open I'll be snatching all the pink petals off ... They dry pretty nice on their own, so at least I know they can eat them safely, either way!

The neighbors rose hips though? I think I'll leave those for the expert driers :clap1:
