dogs and chinchillas

I have a funny story about my cat who is actually petrified of my six chins btw.My chins live in my hallway which has a glass door shutting it off from the rest of the house,we have an air con for which i have put a cat flap in the outside door for the hose to go out of,anyway we had put the aircon away one night as it was cool and when i got up the next morning i found that the cat had come in through the cat flap(she had not used one before) and had been trapped in the hall all night with the chins as it would not open outwards,Needless to say the chins were not bothered in the slightest but my cat couldnt wait to get out,she hasnt done it since:hilarious::hilarious:

My dogs are fine with the chins while they are in the cage! I have one dog who is fine with them out while being held... but I don't think I would let either of my dogs near the chins if they are out running free! Id bee too afraid!
