Oy, I just can't help myself when it comes to making a title for my threads.
4 of my 5 boys are nicely settled in the basement and now I am brainstorming
as to building a partial wall or installing a super long gate along the tiled area
where the chins are so that they could use it as an out-of-cage play area. :hmm:
I would definitely take the mini fridge and the other furniture out of there if I
could make it their play area.

This is a little pic heavy as I couldn't decide which pics to pick, lol!

Silly Laurie. There can NEVER be enough toys!

That's a great space Sandi! Those are some lucky chins! :)

Thanks Nikki! It was only when I got Gerard that the hubby and I discussed bringing the boys downstairs and I believe they are much happier in the basement than upstairs. I roll out the dehumidifier only when it reaches 45% humidity. It's been hovering in the low 40's as far as humidity and the low 60's in temperature.

Very nice! I'm a little jealous. :)

A little off-topic, but I've been meaning to try to figure out who had the playpen I liked on here - and I think it might be yours! Is that one of the ones that has a cover for the top so they can't jump out? I've been trying to remember who had posted the great wall-surfing picture, and now I'm thinking it might have been you! If so, could you tell me the brand of your playpen?
Thanks! :D

wow your basement is nice and spacious. i have my boys in my basement & it is finished as well. sorta the same set up but not as big. i have the big pole in the middle and to block off with a gate, i would need a HUGE one. but you could probably get the playpen similar to the one i have and connect 2 together and block off that one space. you would just need to chin proof the molding.

At first I was disappointed by the lack of cute blanket-swaddled chins, but then your basement's awesomeness made up for it!

Hey I have that same play pen for my dogs, I never thought to use it for the girls :hmm:

We got this for our pug when we he was a puppy and it never worked out and had an idea to use it for the chins and it has become a lifesaver of sorts.

Yes! I have the wall surfing chin picture somewhere I just have to find it. It's the Ware pop-up playpen and you can find it on amazon or petco and maybe ebay too.
