gizmos cage is a fiesty ferret..two levels... the top level is a wire bottom. I went to home depot today and bought ceramic tiles. I bought both large tiles and smaller 4x4 ones. I didnt like the looks of the large ones because they looked really heavy on the shelf so I put a whole bunch of the 4x4 ones on. .. but im afriad they might shift around some. Is there anyway kind of safe adhesive that I can use to glue them onto the wire bottom if any? Im trying to be creative which is near impossible with me lol ... so any suggestions??

I have the same cage for one of my boys and I have 2 nice marble 12 x 12 tiles. My Zucca can not even budge them. I cut a piece of fleece to fit the upper layer and put the marble tile in the front. it keeps him cool if he wants too and holds down the liner.
on the bottom level I have it between his 2 litter pans and I put his hay on it so it doesnt all fall thru the wire bottom..
If anything put the smaller ones on the bottom section, since they are lighter your chin may be able to move them around and you dont want one of them falling down the stairs.
pm me if you want to see pictures, i think i have some on either this computer or my one at work.

I've heard of some people using the industrial velcro to hold tiles on. They're super sticky, so it should stick to even the wire.

where can i find industrial velcro? my chin is really strong, i think i was using normal velcro, she peeled the liners off and was chewing on the velcro...

You can buy it in little packs at Walmart or any other fabric store. At Walmart it's by their craft section.

They shouldn't be able to reach the velcro on the tiles, since they can't lift the tiles.

I have some shelves covered with tiles that are attached with industrial strength velcro. They have been on there for a year now with no problems. Like Alli said, they can't get to the velcro since the tiles are too heavy, and the tiles don't shift around because the velcro is strong. I got mine at JoAnn Fabrics, but I'm sure Walmart would have it. (what don't they have...)

the velcro is a good idea...the only thing im worried about is he has a shelf under the top level... where he can reach it if he stands up so he may be able to get to the bottom half of the velcro and eat it.

I missed the part that it's a wire level. Have you looked into bassequipment.com? They make the metal pans for FN's and would most likely work with you to make one to fit the Feisty Ferret. If that's not an option, maybe you can get a piece of wood cut to fit and velcro the tiles on top of that.

hmm thats a good idea. .. but how much weight is too much? thats what im afraid of. the metal seems pretty strong but i worry about stupid things like that.

I'm not sure, I don't have the Feisty Ferret so I wouldn't know. My FN's would probably be strong enough.

If you're worried about that, I would look into getting a pan made by bassequipment.com. They are very good quality and not heavy at all. Plus, they have lips to keep poo/whatever else in..the tile would not.
