We're in the middle of a blizzard here in Illinois. Anyone else? I'm in Decatur, central IL. It's pretty bad. We had sleet and freezing rain ALL day today, schools closed. Now it's still sleeting/raining with snow. And we're supposed to get 12 to 16 inches by tomorrow afternoon. Schools are closed tomorrow too obviously lol.

Our power has been flickering on and off all day too but it hasn't for a few hours now thank goodness :)

By the end of this week though I am gonna go crazy being inside:hair:

In Massachusetts we're going to have snow until thursday. School closed early today and I might not even bother looking to see if it's closed tomorrow...there's just no way it'll be open. We're supposed to get almost 2 feet, probably got 6-10 inches today.

I'm in Illinois too ( Southwest suburbs) and it is VERY windy!! Drifting snow is really bad and schools are closed tomorrow. We're supposed to get a lot more snow overnight! Also,it has been lightening! Cool, I've never seen this before during a snow storm!

We have about 20 inches of snow so far. With the drifts I can only see the top of my car! I won't be going to work again tomorrow!

Blizzard 2011 keep inside lol! I had to run out tonight before it got really bad because we only had 1 roll of toilet paper. So now we are good to go for 10 rolls worth lol!

The friggin wind and thunder is making this storm a lot more scarier! The snow drifts are just crazy. My neighbor's house is literally getting buried and from what I can see of our house, our walk way has none or very little snow. And the worst hasn't hit us yet by what the news is saying. I'm crossing everything over here that we don't lose power.

I don't know how much snow has actually fallen yet...

Tonight we are getting an ice storm in NJ. Last week we had the snow storm with lightening & thunder which dumped over a foot of snow on top of the snow we already had. It's been a crazy winter. A division of our business is snow removal & some of our guys haven't slept in weeks!! The ice storm will keep our auto glass division busy for a while.....people do not know how to properly remove ice from their vehicles!

Im in chicago suburbs too. It is crazy. The wind and thunder are kinda scary. I am very scared of loosing power but the lights have stopped flickering here too. I can't even see out the windows anymore.

I have been sooo scared of this weather because some people have lost power for days. Everywhere is sold out of generators and emergency necessities. Even water! I don't know how the chinchillas will survive if I don't have heat for a long period of time. Any suggestions? This has given me much anxiety:(

We had late start and early dismissal Monday, no school yesterday or today, and if this frickin' wind doesn't die down they are not goint to be able to get the country roads up for tomorrow either. We only got 8 inches, but with 40 mph winds, we've got 4-6 foot drifts. Stupid weather. This morning I awoke to a balmy -7 with -30 windchill and frozen water pipes. Yee-ha.

Our weather here sucks too.. Its very hot and muggy high of 82* and humidity at 100% and heat index at 96*. But we have tornado warming like crazy because the hot here is trying to mix with the cold you guys are sending down.

How I wish for some cold.. I need the good hair weather.

I had to put the portable AC in my window before I left for work this morning. It is in the 70's today! Send some of that snow down here!

Its going to be 70 deg here today and 75 this weekend!

Boo! Lucky you! I'm gonna get out of Ohio as soon as I can! LOL!

We are in the middle of an ice storm too. I didn't have school yesterday and not today either. We had very icy conditions last night and the weather warmed up.. so it's all melting now and then this afternoon--temps will drop. This means lots more ice and slippery fun! :vomit: We are also expecting a little bit of snow.. yay

I'm in Indianapolis, IN...we got all ice. Campus has been closed for two days and UPS closed for the first time since 1978

We don't close for ice. Two days I drove on solid ice, 30 miles per hour. I always know if a semi goes slow, we are in trouble. The semi's were going slow. Throw in some wind and it was a real treat. Apparently ice is not enough of an issue to close down schools where busloads of kids are being transported.......

I'm kinda jealous that Maryland is missing out on this snowy action... I was really hoping to get at least 1 snow day, but it doesn't seem like it's ever going to happen. Right now it's just a lot of rain here... boo...

That's so dumb. We're the other way around, we don't close for snow. I busted my butt yesterday just walking my dog...he refused to go outside unless I was out there enduring the cold with him. Our apartment roads were covered in an inch of solid ice.

We only got about 5" of snow but it is the wind that's killer. -30 windchill overnight. No school yesterday or today. I can't believe it was 74 on Friday! When Mother Nature deals with Kansas, I swear she's bipolar!

We got more than a foot last night and it is still snowing. The drifts are 3 feet and more.

My step son just finished plowing the driveway and three neighbors were here shoveling. Both porches are shoveled off, there is a path around the house and one out to the barn. Pretty nice! They'll be here later checking the amount of snow on the roof.
