Nancy, I've been a little hesitant to post her diet. I'm always afraid someone will see it and think its ok for a normal hedgehog. So my disclaimer: I had long talks with doc regarding nutrition and cancer. If you want to try this with a cancer patient, discuss it with your vet first. Each cancer and each hedgehog is different.
Right now her kibble consists of: Katz-n-floken, Felidae Platinum, By Nature Weight Management(Chicken, Salmon & Duck) and Innova Evo Weight Control. Evo was added to lower her carb intake, and to raise her protein/fat intake. She also gets a small amount of vegetables and fruits and insects.
Doc also suggested adding arginine, l-lysine, and salmon oil to her daily diet. I was already giving her some supplements before for joint support, digestive health, etc. So, she also gets a daily sprinkle of acidolphilus, IP6 and cartilage supplements.
I have read lots of interesting things about some of these supplements in regards to cancer, too much to add to this posting.
