My 2 play in our bathroom which is pretty big. I wall off part of it with a gate and they have quite a large space to hang around in. I sit with them and they climb all over me which I love. They run around and wall surf; it's a riot watching them.

Sounds like they were using the hay to help keep the hut clean. I wouldn't do it; they need hay available to eat... you could put a small fleece pillow in there if your chin likes to sleep there.

My 2 are using their hammock and also fleece pillows I have up on a high ledge. They did not use the hammock during the summer, but now that it's cooler they are using it. I don't know why that is.... but regardless, they're using it now. I'd hang it up and give it time.

If I wanted to feed this as a preventative; say once a week; how is that done? Do you sprinkle it over the food? Thanks.

The cage is a ferret nation cage and they are sold all over the internet and I think some Petsmart or Petco or something stores too. I got mine on ebay for a great price. The shelves are made by one of the posters here, lydz, husband. Thanks!

If you get the FN cage there is a place you can get pan replacements for the plastic that comes with the cage. Bass something or other; the link is definitely here somewhere. The pans are nice and deep, and hold in shavings / poop and the chins can't chew them. I'm really glad I got them.

So far I have left them in the cage; but they are getting so used to me that they're getting closer and closer to hopping out. I can see I'm going to have to put them in a carrier, or have my husband watch them in the bathroom while I'm cleaning. (Or better yet, he can clean... yeah right!!!) ;)

OMG you should see it now. The flying saucer wheel is in there, and tons of toys. They just fly all over the place. I think they're liking it!

What was fun was attaching this in a FN cage. Had to use big washers in the back since there's not many horizontal bars. But it seems sturdy!

My little guys LOVE them. I have the crushed and they each get a tiny piece a day; must be about 1/100th of a rosehip, but wow do they like them!
