so we got a little 9 week old boy for our 8 months old guy. They have been next to one another for a few days and we have had a few combined playtimes in a smaller space and they did ok. Mostly ignoring, some nose to nose sniffing and some minor chasing. But tonight we let them out in the same place, same time etc, but the chasing was a LOT more pronounced. Mr. Shoe (the older guy) , who is usually chill was shedding like crazy and the chasing was getting pretty rough. No biting that I saw though. Oddly enough, the little guy is mounting the bigger guy.

What should my next move be? I exchanged cuddle buddies so they could get used to each others scents...did that perhaps set them off? Should I continue the combined playtime? Is this already a lost cause in terms of an intro?

Any input would be much appreciated!

I wanted to add to the above post since it was pretty late and I was worried at the time.

So during playtime it started off like the other couple of playtimes we had before. Hopping around, little Spooky hopping on Shoe's back and then Shoe jumping away. They sniffed noses a few times and then ran off. But a little into it they started really chasing each other, I heard a couple of kaks from Shoe and that is when I noticed there quite a bit of fur coming out. I am 99.9% sure that was not from Spooky pulling it though. More of a stress thing on Shoe's part.

Anyway, I have heard a million different things. Some say to keep trying, if you don't see blood its ok, some say, once fur is flying separate them. So naturally I am a little confused as to how I should continue with the introduction.
