Wood Problem

Hi. We just got a chinchilla nad are trying to get a cage together for her. We live in hawaii and can't seem to find kiln dried pine anywhere....Most of the wood here is treated....We are at a loss of what to do. Can someone please help?

You could always order some ledges from people here on the forums? Under the chin supplies for sale, there's a sticky with everyone's information on it

The shipping out here is way to expensive. I don't think we can have it shipped to us anyways. I was more or less just wondering if there was a different wood to use.

Here is a list of safe woods from another thread that should help. Of course, not treated, but at least expands your options beyond kiln dried pine.

I'm actually not sure if I can. When you ask the people working at the store they just look at you like you have 2 heads.
