Cat, if you are not overloaded I'd take 2 Blue Cloud also! Just let me know. :)

I better get moving on a quilt for the raffle. I have to MOTIVATE!!!

I'll be showing, but I don't have much to show this year. Most of mine are just babies...It will still be fun to see all the action, though!! I guess this could be the first year I actually try the baby derby?? And I think I'll look around for someone else's checkbook to bring, too. That is a great idea, Kristie!! Otherwise unless I sell a few chinnies at the show, there will be NO SHOPPING for me...:cry3:

That'd be great if Cat can bring back dust. I don't have lots here right now, but may be able to bring some back from Shindig. If you run out of room, Cat, let me know. I can take the truck to Shindig and bring back lots. Otherwise, I planned on taking the car down. I can fit some in the trunk as well, but not much.

Oooh - I think we could Carol's dancing as a fundraiser! PAY TO SEE CAROL DANCE LIKE ELVIS!!!! LMAO!!! :D

Well I know I havent been on here for a while but I was asked, yes I will be at this show. The hubby and the chinchilla son will be there as well. I know we should have at least several to show, darn things are all young though. Way to go junior class, lol.

I dont even remember how many hours it is for me, more than Boone but far less than any other, lol.

:pillowfight: I don't know if I could pull off another weekend trip solo this year or not. I might have to drag along the young 'uns and the big guy. :hmm:

Deb, I sure hope you can make it!! Would be great to get to chat w/ you again.

Wow, Kari - I didn't realize we were that far apart!

Carol - YOU told me you were good!! ;)

I'm thinking I may need to attend my first chin show! How many people usually attend? I'm in Milwaukee and would love to check it out!

I'm not sure how many show up, but it's a nice smaller sized show so it doesn't last all day long like the National shows. It's great to see what a good breeding quality chin looks like, and you learn a lot by listening to the judge's comments.

I don't breed or show, but go every year!

And you get to vote on the cutest baby chin which is always fun. I also enjoy trying to win something in the raffle even though I never win! Maybe this year!!

This is a nice sized show to get started at, whether you are just watching or are starting out showing. I'm not really sure how many people actually come, either, without going back to my records, but I would say 50 - 75, maybe, depending on the year.
We welcome all chin-lovers and would be happy to have you there!

Well all I know is I need this show like I need to breathe! I can't wait for it in October. I'll help Carol practise her song and dance routine in the car on the way up. Who knows maybe Sandi and I will be the backup singers/dancers!

This is a GREAT show to attend! I also don't breed or show but I've gone the past few years and always have a great time. As a chin pet owner its incredible to see the wonderful breeding quality animals. I also try to pick out my very favorite at the beginning of the show and see if I picked well! Last year I picked Brenda's tan male who did VERY well! I was happy!

The baby derby is a lot of fun. There is cuteness overload in seeing the baby chins and of course ALL of them are a winner LOL!

If you're thinking you see lots of chins out and hopping around on a table, that is not what you'll see. The chins are in show cages and my year I had a hard time looking at them like that because I'm a pet owner! But you do get to really see them, they excellent fur, the shape of their body, and surpisingly enough really most of the chins don't bark or kack or mind being picked up and looked at through their show cage. I don't remember seeing anyone bit yet LOL!

I am planning on showing 1 girl I have simply for experience of showing her. I think it would be good for me to see the whole process from the standpoint of someone who shows and not just someone who watches.

I also have a new little baby girl who will be in the baby derby and I just know she will win!!!

You should definitely come to the show if not just to see Carol sing!!!

PLUS there is a lot of really good food!!!!

Oo Laurie, I'll be sure and vote for your baby chin in the baby derby! The year I put Kona in there, she got 3rd, so I got a little trophy and I was so excited! :D

It's also a good time to pick up supplies so you don't have to pay shipping. I know every year I have people request items from my shop, and I pick up bags of dust, and I know other years there's been other people that sell supplies there too like ledges, feed, etc

Ok, I'll start practicing!

Who are you showing Laurie? Are you putting your pink white Lisa in the baby derby? Are we allowed to videotape?

Allison, start sewing! :neener: But thanks for giving me at least 3 months notice, I've got to start working overtime now!
