I would just like to say whoever is running the raffle this year could you please pick some of my tickets for a change!!!! LOL!

ROFL. Well, Laurie, after last year, you ought to win just about everything this year. We'll have to rent a trailer to get all your prizes home. You deserve it after last year.

I think you would have a pretty good chance if that one woman that won half the prizes doesn't show up this year :p!

Forgive me for not wading through this thread :err: but what time does the actual show start on Saturday? We are actually flying out Saturday afternoon to NYC and trying to plan things so I can still spend some time at the show before we head to the airport

Now that our seminar is over, it's time to get ready for the show!!!

6th Annual WI MCBA Regional Show
Saturday, October 2, 2010
Barneveld Legion Hall
101 Wood Street
Barneveld, WI

Judged by Joe Brown of Oklahoma

Set up starts at 5pm Friday night
Registration until 9pm, unless you let us know you'll be later

Grooming starts at 6am Sat. morning.

That's what I've got for now. Just wanted to get this posted so everyone can start planning now! ;)
More details to follow.

I have been deciding who I am hoping to bring.

I just realized that this is like an hour and a half from my house. If I'm home from school that weekend, I'm thinking of checking it out.. I have never been to a show or anything before as I just got into chins this summer, so I'm pretty nervous!! Is there any really vital information I should know for my first show?

Ok so grooming starts unbelievably early in the morning, but I would assume judging won't start until later in the morning? That's the part I want to see. Well, lol, I wouldn't mind seeing some grooming either, since I always feel like the meanest mommy in the world doing it to my chins. We booked a 2:00 flight, so that should give us all morning to look at chinnies and meet everyone

Grooming ends at 9 so the show is supposed to start shorlty after that...That tends to be the protocal for all shows

Just come and observe, ask questions and have fun. :D Please don't wear bright colors, like red, orange, etc, especially if you plan on sitting in the front row. It can reflect on the chins.
Bring money in case you want to buy raffle tickets. We always have great raffle items. Lunch is $5, if you want to eat with the crew. There are a couple of places around other than our lunch, but not many out in the boonies.

Diana - Where are you flying out of? Barneveld is a good 2 - 2 1/2 hours from Appleton. We will start classification at 9 and HOPE the show will be able to start by 10.

We still have the Standard Breeder award up for sponsorship, if anyone is interested!

We are flying out of Mitchell in Milwaukee. Annnnd I just mapped it. I didn't realize Barneveld is 100 miles from Milwaukee. Ugh. That's a 2 hour drive...so we'll have to leave the show around 10am. That kind of blows the whole day, it may not even be worth going down that way :cry3:

Yeah - we are easily 2 hours from Mitchell as well. You might not even get to see the show start, but could see grooming and visit with folks, if you decide to head west first.

Alli - What?? I thought you never missed a WI show. :(

I may do that...I'd really like to see the chins and meet people. I've been looking forward to this and want to make it even if its just an hour or two. And I really want to get a big bag of dust!!

It's the weekend after our wedding, so we'll just be coming back from our honeymoon.

I'm going to have to figure out a dust situation. I certainly can't wait until Nationals as I'm on my last bag. Perhaps I'll have to visit a ranch, which is a long drive!

How much do you usually get? If we end up going and getting dust, I'm sure we could arrange to bring some back for you too.

Well we'll have the Jeep and just our luggage, so I think we'd have room for a few bags, I would guess we could fit 5-6 bags in there.

That would be awesome! I'd pay you some for gas.

Is there anyone going that sells dust? Some years I know a rancher goes, last year I think I got some from Cat?

I'm heading to Ryersons next weekend and can bring back a couple bags of supplies to deliver to the show.
