I look forward to meeting you, too, Barb! So glad you can make it.
Hopefully next year, we'll get Cathy up here, too, as well as John.

Well, Wendy - John asked me to bag everything together, so candle and candies are together as one item. Amish-made candy at that. Cashew clusters - both milk chocolate and white chocolate... mmmmmmmm ;)

Just go for it Wendy! Whats a little more time on that tread mill.

Elliptical if its ick outside, otherwise I run the dog. Either way, UGH! To quote a boy who is lucky he is cute and was joking as I picked up a piece of candy: "Are you going to eat that, or should I just tape it to your butt?" He's also lucky he can outrun me: I'm willing to count beating him up as part of my fitness minutes!

I didn't have time for the sweet and sour salad, but I have the brownies baking as we speak! I sure hope they make it! They smell delicious!

Laurie - the brownies were fabulous!! As was the seminar! Wow - so much information from Christoph, the vet!! A huge thanks to him for joining us and sharing his knowledge today!
And a special thanks to Randy from coming all this way, despite his van breaking down on the way. Hopefully, it is fixed and he and Josh are safely on their way home now.
And Gene - I could pick your brain all day on grading those critters!

Thanks to everyone who came and helped, brought food, participated..... I hope you all learned as much, or more, than I did! :D

The WI ECBC Branch got a good start with the raffle today as well. Yippeee!!!!!

My brownies weren't as good as the eclair torte! The seminar was AWESOME! I learned so much from Christoph as well as Randy and Gene. I ask a lot of questions and no one ever rolls their eyes at me and I'm so thankful! I think anyone who has the chance to attend this seminar should! As a pet owner I learn alot from my local breeder's! I'm so grateful to have such a great group of people to talk to, to learn from and to share just plain chinchilla fellowship with! Can't wait for the show in October.

No reason to roll eyes when someone has such interest and good questions. ;)
We really do have a great group of chin people around here. I wish we could do this more often. I had such a great time today.

Excellent, excellent brownies!! :) Oh, the seminar was darn good too, LOL!

Christoph was wonderful--I wish he was up in the Wausau area! You are very lucky to have him close, Brenda, and thank you for inviting him to present.

Now that I am home, I'm drinking all sorts of purified water & squinting at the chins with a comb in my hand. 2 have already been under my inferior lights to see how they look. The 2 chinnies that got the houses from Cat & Bill are so happy!

The WI ECBC branch cleared $160 in raffle money--whopppeeee! Thank you to those who donated so generously, and to those who brought plenty of $$ to buy tickets!

Unfortunately, after being gone all day yesterday I still haven't cleaned my whole house...<sigh> Time to turn off the computer?! :)

Even with all the van troubles I had a great weekend! Many thanks to Kristy and Marshal for putting Joshua and I up for two nights and also for the use of their garage to make repairs. Also for helping me to try and find parts in the middle of Chicago at 10pm. Thanks to Kristy and her mom for the ride to and from the seminar. Thanks again Bill and Kat for your help turning wrenches, finding parts and moral support.

Just think the Shindig is just around the corner and we can have all this fun all over again. I hope you can convince Christoph to come to the shindig Brenda as I could sit and listen to him for several more hours with all his knowledge. I learned alot!

Agreed about Christoph! I learned a lot as well as having an informative one on one with him. The rest of the seminar was just as enlightening. The food and people were great too. :))

Laurie you had good questions and that really helps when you are standing up there trying to present a topic. I thought both the eclair torte and the brownies where great! Might have hurt my blood sugar numbers for my next check up coming up soon but it was worth it. As a matter of fact all the food was very good and I am a very picky eater.

It was great and I had a great time (so did mom) would have been a bit better if Mom hadn't tried to leave Randy at the gas station LOL. Randy you and Josh (and Jeri) Are welcome here anytime!

Glad to hear you all had a good time! And really glad to hear you and Josh made it home safe, Randy! Bring the car to Shindig, k?? lol

I've already been in contact with Christoph about Shindig. We'll have to see how his residency schedule looks, so keep your fingers crossed.

If you get him for the Shindig, we need hand outs of his presentation !! There was no way to write fast enough w/this dang splint on, LOL.

Had a great time even though I didn't win a raffle prize AGAIN, food was awesome & I got my new gorgeous violet boy from Randy :)

Randy there are no blood sugar counts or calories in any chin get togethers! I didn't realize you didn't know that!

I laughed my butt off when I found out Kristy's mom nearly left Randy at the gas station.

I also didn't win anything at the raffle, but it goes to a good cause. My daybeds and house on a ledge from Catria and Bill are a BIG hit around here! I'm definitely going to have to get more the rest of the gang.

I'm really looking forward to the show in October. I'm going to start doing some grooming off all my chins to get some practise in!

Ok - I'll make sure I let him know about handouts. I'm thinking we'll narrow down the topics for the next round. lol He had originally told me he'd talk about teeth and I told him to be prepared for health questions in general. I didn't know he was goignt o cover so much! LOL

Oh, yeah, no sugar, no calories, just good stuff at chin gatherings... snort! And everything I make is healthy... rofl!
