WHOHOO! Just scored a FN!

So I just scored a FN141 in perfect condition for $25. Local, no shipping. I'm so uber excited! :dance2:

My question is this:
If I order a FN143 (add-on) - will I be able to remove the top of the bottom cage to have it be a 2 story cage or will it always have to remain 2 seperate cages that are just stacked?

I've been all over online, and it seems that by ordering the 143 it'll be virtually the same as getting the 142, I just wanted to double check w/ all you experienced gals (& guys) first.

Well, I went and picked up the FN141 last night. It was a 45 min. drive and when I got there, it was unassembled and the guy no longer had the instructions...
I hope all of the hardware is in the baggie he gave me. I need to clean it up some more (they had used it for ferrets)...

I googled and found the assembly instructions - so if anyone else ever comes across this kind of situation...here's the link.

I think that if you get a 143 - you take the top off of the 141 and you'll be using it as the top of your new 142. The 143 comes with the middle piece for in between the cages, and the 4 sides, but no top. At least this is how I put my 143 on my 142.

If it doesn't have all of the hardware, you can call Midwest's customer service line and order a new set of hardware for a little over $7. I'll be doing this, because the hardware that came with mine is all rusted, and I want a pretty FN...lol.
