Have you got a chin proof room? Which room do you use? We started off letting Poppy run about the lounge but its not all that Poppy-proof so yesterday I let her hop about the dining room which was better for her (and I didnt have to spend an hour trying to coax her out from under the sofa :hmmm: )

My chins play in the bathroom and the closed off hallway. I accidentally crunched one of my chins, Gordon, in a recliner a few years ago so no more places such as that for any of my crew.

I let them play in either a chin proofed bathroom or I have a playpen that I erect around their home pen and just open the door so they can go back in whenever they want.

We do bathroom playtime here too. It seems to work out the best for us. Annabelle is contained, can't get into much trouble and its easier for us to clean up afterwards.

When I clean the cages, playtime is in their playpen, at other times when myself or my girls want to interact and spend some one on one time with them it's always in the bathroom.

We have playtime in the bathroom and closed off hallway. The first time Shelly ran under the sofa was the last time she saw the living room. She's gotten used to it and we've bonded more.

My chins have a chin proof bedroom that is all theirs. They have their playtime in their room. When we got our first chin she ran all over the house and it was so much harder. Then we moved to playing in the bathroom and a closed off hallway. I think if you don't have a room, that a hallway is a good place to play. We have been lucky enough to have an extra bedroom just for them.

Mostly in a closed off stairwell. I sit on the landing and let them climb on me. It's a wooden stairwell with a door at the bottom of the stairs and I close the door to the two bedrooms at the top of the stairs. They can jump up and down the stairs for hours and wall surf at the landing or the short hall at the top of the stairs.

We close all the doors down the hallway and they run all over the house. I find it kinda funny that I don't let them out until I have picked up the house and vacuumed just so they can run around and poop. I am owned by 7 chins I guess.

They have their bedroom, the other bedroom is divided in half for two play pens and they have the family room.

I have a spare bedroom that I use as Trixies playroom. There is no bed in there anymore, just my cedar chest, an end table, a couple chairs her bath house and the bins I store her hay and bedding. I have it pretty well chin proofed. I had to resort to using a battery powered table lamp, as she wanted to chew the cord of the lamp I had. There is a ceiling light, but it makes the room TOO bright. She loves it. Lots of space for her to run, and I have the bins in strageic locations so she can jump on them. She also loves sitting on the windowsill looking outside...at the dark.

I have 2 playpens attached together, and then attached to Tinkerbell's cage, so she can come in and out of her cage into a chin-proof area.

i ahve a large playpen that i section of a potyion of the room with so that Kishi can play, i used to let silkie run around the bedroom, but that didn't work out so now it's a sectioned off room that i can see her in rather than have her hiding under the bed all the time

I use my computer room barricaded off with large pieces of folding cardboard with chip clips to keep the sections together. Very unsophisticated :)

Well since my boys basically have taken over my bedroom, I have a marshalls playpen that i used to block off where my bed is and wherever else i dont want them. It changes for my two groups. Since my room is big though, they still have plenty of space to run. When i was still a new owner, Liv used to get free run of my room and he would constantly go under the bed or squeeze his way out of my room if someone opened the door for a second. No more of that! Once in a while I block off the hallway for them as well so they can go in and out of my room, though.

To all those that have chin-specific rooms, I envy you! Everytime I let Fidget out I know I'm going to be in for some chasing when I ahve to get him back in!

When I first got him I was able to trick him by showing him the dust bath and he'd hop in and I'd bring him to the cage. He learned realllll quick though!

The bathroom is the usual playspot for my boys. They sometimes run around my room, but under close supervision. If I see one drop poop they go back into the bathroom- which strangely sometimes I think they understand this rule! Lol!

My 2 play in our bathroom which is pretty big. I wall off part of it with a gate and they have quite a large space to hang around in. I sit with them and they climb all over me which I love. They run around and wall surf; it's a riot watching them.

I share my bedroom with Chi Chi's cage. All cords are picked up and the room is Chi Chi proofed before he is let out.

He gets playtime on average from 9:30 - 11:30 PM and knows that when it's time to go back into his cage he will be rewarded with fresh hay, new pellets and a very small piece of dried apple.
