He's grown up when he's done growing. Some lines grow slower than others, some top out early, some can grow until they are a year old and some until they are 18 months or more. There is no set age when a chin reaches adulthood.
Ah ok, good to know. I did a ton of research about chins in general before we got him, but I have honestly not a clue about his background. We got him from a breeder in PA and at the time I didn't know what questions exactly to ask, which I am a bit regretful about. I wish I had been more active on this forum prior to picking a chin and had the opportunity to get one from one the experienced people here. Not that I want to trade my boy for the world, he is the best
As as long as he is healthy and happy he can grow the size of a small house, hehe. I was just curious.
I have a female who is a year old and she is still putting on a little weight. I would say that by 8 months she was fully grown, and now she is just getting fatter.
I actually just ordered a little scale on amazon yesterday, so I have to wait a couple of days to check on that. When we got him he was a little over 200 grams at 2 months old.
Mick St. John, my violet, continued to grow and gain weight after he was a year old. I also believe my white girls still continue to grow and one is just over a year old and they other is going on 2 years old!
