What should I name him?

I'm getting an older, blind hedgie. I think he's about nine months old.

What should I name him? Here's a picture.

He's so cute! When do you get to bring him home? It's hard to come up with names for someone else. Maybe you could come up with some you like and we could suggest from your list. Good luck with your new baby! :cute:

I bring him home around Mid october, when my original baby is ready.

I just happened to see him up for adoption on the breeder's site and couldn't say no! I like the oddballs... heh heh. : )

His name from the breeder is Bob, but i hate it. :/ too...boring.

I suck at names, hence the asking. But some names I like are Zeke, Diego, and...well, i've forgotten the rest.

I need a name for the baby, as well. He's a salt and pepper pinto.

When I do something for/with an animal that's got a problem or the odds stacked against it (say a rescue), I try to give them a strong name, or name them after someone who did great things. Examples:

Johan Sebastian Bach and Fredrich Handel were both blind, as is Andrea Bocelli (opera singer). If he's talkative, those might be good choices.

Tiresias was a blind prophet in the ancient Greek Oedipus plays, and the Greek god Cupid (Roman name Eros) was blind too. The Egyptian god Horus was blind, and the Norse god Odin was blind on one side. Samson from the Bible went blind before he died too.

What are you favorite book/movie characters? Thats how I got Bilbo's name. But for his middle name (timberline), it was the street name of the breeders home. Be creative! You might just think of one on the spot when seeing him for the first time.
