We always have filtered water in our fridge. We use the Britta pitcher with the filter and use that water for our little one.
Each chin is different on how much they drink and when. My little one has days where she drinks alot and others not so much. On average in a week she drinks an ounce a day.
We use the Superpet glass water bottle with the double bearing dripless feeder. We found that Lola will drink from this bottle more because the water flow is slower. The regular plastic bottles have a single bearing system and the water would come out to fast and she wouldn't drink.
It's finding what works best for your little fuzzbutt.
