Josie was the only one of her litter with these colors. Her fur is white with a very light frosting of grey in some spots on her back. Her ears are light pink and her eyes are black. What's the official "label" for this color type? Silver? Beige? White?

Looks like a pink white. What color are their parents?

You may have to watch her as she grows if you don't know the parents. She could be pw if the tipping looks beige. Or mosaic if it's gray/dark. Or you can come up with a fancy name and put her up for sale at an enormous price, hee hee. Not that ANYONE does that ;)

Hehehe. I did pay a little more for her than I would have for a grey/ebony chin. She and her albino-looking sibling were a little pricier but she's well worth it :) We bonded immediately. How common is her coloring?

I would say pink white due to the pink ears. My pink white has very dark eyes that look black as well, and he also has the greyish tan colored markings. However if you shine the light just right at his eyes, you can tell they are a dark ruby color. Pink whites are a common color.

Pink whites are common. The "albino" look is not an actual albino chinchillas, it's just a pink white. The beige gene brings red eyes along with it and when you mix that with white, you get a white with pink ears and pink eyes. They do not lack pigment like a true albino.

I would say it is a silver. Pink whites have to have Pink eyes. Its most likely a mosaic silver. Pink in the ears has nothing to do with it. Some standards have pink in there ears.

She could be a light tan white. She looks just like my little Willow when i first got her. Now (9 months old) she has tan on her face and at the base of her tail.

The chinchilla has dark red eyes in the photo and patch of beige fur on the head in addition to a white tail and pink ears. It is a pink white or possibly a tan white if there is ebony in the background, but for this owner's purposes "pink white" should do just fine.
