You could try adding some pure pumpkin in a can to the CC. Whenever I cant get them to eat I just add a little pure pumpkin and it turns them from hating it to gobbleing it up.

Chins with GI issues should get critical care and nothing else added, no dyne, no lifeline, no molasses, no pumpkin, no squash etc, just critical care and water.

That said, to the op's question above, if he is eating on his own his normal ration, you see no signs of lethargy, stretching, hunching over, lying on the side, then continue with the meds, and watch him like a hawk, make SURE he is eating and drinking, any hint he is not then resume hand feeding, you could have caught it early and the gas has passed.

Thank you soooo much everybody!!! Your support really helps.

Just wanted to say that I am glad that you caught this early. I really admire your quickness to get him to a vet and than ask question here to make sure that it was correct. I hope your boy is well soon.

^^ Thank you!! and Thanks to everyone who took the time to offer some help. A big thank you to Sandi (you have NO IDEA how much help you are!!)
**Update on Jerry - This morning he was waiting by the door and was the first one out to play while I cleaned the cage!!! He even gave us 1 or 2 small wall surfs!! Some of his poops seem a little small but there are PLENTY of them!!!! He seems to be eating plenty on his own. He fights being fed the CC( I was only able to get a little bit in him lastnight :( ) but takes his 3 meds pretty easily. I hope this means my little guy is on the mend!!!!

When I see a bloat chin is back to normal I continue treatment for a day or so just to make sure, I had one that relapsed one time so it works for me.

Excellent news Jodi! You have no idea how happy I am to know he's doing well! I'm glad Sandi's so close to you, she's the best :)
