I did a hedgie wall hanging for my fibers and textiles class. A little tribute to Blizzard. It was supposed to be like a narrative. Some people used stories, but some of us did a narrative of something in our lives. I just hope it qualifies enough, but everyone knows I am a hedgehog fanatic, lol! Blizzy painted on with acrylics last night. The fabric is fleece, it was dyed with Procion dyes, first black, then purple, then a blue mix. You can't see the purple that well, dyes didn't come out too dark, kinda sucked. The hearts were also dyed pink. These are called shibori techniques. Hearts applied by wonder under, after I printed out heart patterns and cut them out. The stamping of hedgehogs and dotted lines, done with made stamps (wood and shoe insoles), using soft scrub and then vinegar.
