I knew Petsmart was a not a good place to get a pet, but I fell in love with Jack (chinchilla) when I saw him and bought him anyway.
Well we went to the vet today and he has ringworm--from the pet store. They are awful. So we got that all taken care of.
Then I found out he has a heart murmur. I cried. We have not even had him a month.
But he was very unhappy and stressed and hates to be handled by strangers--and after his vet visit, he is nursing his right hand. He tries to use it to eat but can't.
I called the vet who told me it is probably just stress and he will be better tomorrow--and if not to call her.
What should I do to make my chinchilla more comfortable? (Sprained Hand).
