I have had my male hedgehog Diesel for over a year now an in the past month hes taken a turn for the worse he was very active before and now his head is tilted to one side he spins in circles when he walks an falls down. His weight has dropped drastically i am spoon feeding him all his legs still work. His body (belly and Feet) are cold and i am constantly having to warm him up. he is either wobbleing around but mostly curled up sleeping. my hedgehog is like my child and i just want my little boy backk please email me with any help or suggestions! I really don't know what would be wrong with him. But make sure his house is at a constant mind 70s. If he is still cold maybe try an even hight temp. Keep making sure he eats. Most importantly get him to a vet. Where do you live? We might be able to suggest one if you don't have one already. Good luck, you two are in my thoughts.

He needs to see a vet. With the head tilt, it sounds like it could possibly be an ear infection. His cage also needs to be warmed and he also may need a heating pad 24/7.

Vet. Please. It sounds like something that needs antibiotics (such as an ear infection or much, much worse). Please get him the help he needs. If you need a vet reference let us know.

As already mentioned, your hedgehog needs to see a veterinarian. The symptoms you are describing are those of a bad inner ear infection. Inner ear infections, if left untreated for too long, can rupture his ear drum, cause permanent damage and can be extremely painful to your hedgehog.

Get him in ASAP. If this has been going on for a while the infection is likely already very bad.

Your vet will want to examine your hedgehog, look in its ears and will likely prescribe an oral antibiotic, and maybe an ear drop to go with it. Of course there could be something else going on...
