Two Questions about Annie's Health

Hey everyone,
So if you've been following my posts on Annie...you already know the whole story. Anyway today when I took her out I noticed that in the middle of her bald patch she's got some quills growing back in. Does this tell me anything about what's wrong with her or if she's getting better? (It almost seems like quilling...but isn't she too old??)
Another thing....she smells really bad. I've never noticed her having a smell before. Could this mean anything?

I know nothing about hedgehogs or this one in particular but a bad odor can often mean an infection. I would take this little hedgie to a vet.
