Well i got my bass pans today, the one with the cut out fits pretty well but the bottom one does not, there is a huge bend in the corner and it wont fit, im gonna call but what do you think they will do, because i will really hoping i could get her in there before vacation...

They will send you a new one if you send them pictures proving it was bent. I tried that and they were really bad at getting back to me, so much so that I took a hammer and bent it back myself. I was not too happy though, as you should get a replacement if it is so bent it will not even fit in the cage. You can put her in there with the plastic pans for a week or so, just keep an eye out for any chewing. The plastic is really hard and I have never had a chin chew it before, so I think you should be fine.

I dont have the plastic pans though... I got it off craigslist and the plastic pans were warped...

Oh great it says they are closed tomorrow, so i won't be able to contact them till monday.... well thats really crummy..

Bummer! I hate waiting, and I get so much more excited about chin decorating and making stuff than anything, I hate waiting for them more than for myself!

Well i just want to get her in the 142 before i leave for the week because i want her to have more room since no playtime.... but that may not happen, will they at least give and ship the new pan for free? and do i have to pay to ship the old one back?

They will ship the new pan for free since shipping is more than the pan itself I think. Or at least that is what they told me, and then never answered my emails or calls! I gave up, and fixed it myself but should not have because now the place where the bend was is getting rusty.

If you need something go buy some fleece and put eyelets in the corners and take a hook and hook them underneath the cage. This is atleast something for now. I think this would work, it is what i do with my fleece liners. I just bought bass pans last week and two of the corners were bent probably from shipping. We took a hammer and bent them back and they fit very very snug. I didnt even attempt to call them!! Did you buy the ferret nation pans? I measured the actual pan and it is a little bigger than their dimensions on the website. So that is probably why mine fit tight! They need to put fragile when they ship them and they dont!!

Yeah it seems like it may even be a little to big to fit also... do they fit on top of those poles or on the wires?

They should fit on top of the wire, I am not sure what you mean by the poles? You just slide it in like you would the plastic pan....look for pictures of FN's and you should find some great examples.

Ok they are not picking up right now, i have like 50 pictures so i will try and bend it back...

Ok its in now, i was sweating my heart out in this 100 degree weather since it is outside in the garage right now... doesnt look to pretty but ill have to live with it...

If I were you, I would just keep hounding them to get a new one. Just work with the bent one for now, but you could always take it out sometime if you can get them to send you a new one. That way if it's gets rusty like hers, you'll have a replacement.

best of luck with them. I bought mine and I LOVE mine... the bottom one is about 2 inches too small and leaves a big gap but besides that I cant complain... of course I wish it was a tigher fit but im over it.

Good luck bending it.

Just got an email today saying they put a new one in the mail, they didn't even ask for pictures!

Just recieved a replacment pan today, its bent to but i will just hammer it to fit.

If you use a piece of wood as an anvil beneath it, and under the hammer, you won't damage the finish any worse than it is!
